From the standpoint of an employer, his greatest asset is his employees.

What does it mean by ' Sharpening the saw'?

Lets learn from this story about an old man who was walking through a forest when he came across a frustrated lumberjack.

The lumberjack was trying to cut down a tree and was swearing and cursing as he laboured in vain.

'What are you doing?' The old man asked.

'Can't you see I am sawing down this tree.' The lumberjack responded.

'You look exhausted. How long have you been in it?' The old man asked.

'Over 5 hours. I am beat. This is hard work'. The frustrated lumberjack responded.

'The saw looks pretty blunt'. Why don't yo take a break for a few minutes to sharpen it. I am sure it can go a lot faster'. Said the old man.

'I don't have the time to sharpen the saw. I am too busy sawing'. Said the lumberjack.
